How gorgeous is this genuine Kingman Turquoise and Gold Vermeil Ring by Christina Greene?  Really gorgeous!  Its an open back style which is good news.  You can gently open or close the back to fit you.  We all know what its like on a hot day when our hands have swelled a bit, and its difficult to get a ring on or off.  Not with this one!

The design is a vertical oval with a center cabochon of Kingman turquoise surrounded by two outer rings of gold vermeil beading and then encircled by four more cabochons of stone.  Kingman and Sleeping Beauty turquoise are so named because they are the mines in Arizona where the finest American turquoise comes from.  They are very similar to Persian turquoise and are highly prized for their instantly recognizable aqua blue.  They are considered in a class with Persian and are suitably costly.

Think Tiffany blue.
